Moschino x Budweiser Gives Midwest Beer an Italian Makeover

Moschino x Budweiser Gives Midwest Beer an Italian Makeover

Here’s one blogger in Trumplandia who really appreciates this moment of Jeremy Scott, smile-worthy wit. Moschino has joined forces with Budweiser, collaborating on a 15-piece limited-edition capsule collection. The event celebrates the launch of two limited-edition beer bottles — one for “their iconic aluminum bottle” writes ES Standard UK, and the second for their new amber lager, Budweiser Pulse.

According to a press release, the collaboration "showcases Moschino's iconic play on cultural cornerstones and encapsulates the strong visual impact of the integration of both seminal brand logos," recalling the dress and cape look previously designed by Scott that was put on display in the MET's Costume Institute Spring 2019 exhibition, "Camp: Notes on Fashion."

Note that it was the Budweiser cape over a McDonald’s dress that ended up at the MET’s Costume Exhibit.

Jeremy Scott Reappropriates Carlo Mollino's Erotic Images In The Folds Of Pre-Fall Silk Crepe Dresses & Handbags

Moschino creative director Jeremy Scott always delivers originality, but his pre-fall women's collection is divinely decadent in an uptown girl attitude. These pretty-silhouette dresses of printed silk crepe hide the sensually illicit Polaroids of Italian furniture designer Carlo Mollino within their folds. Unintentionally appealing to our global #metoo moment, Scott taps into Mollino's secret passion for photographing always-anonymous, one-time-only models in poses of apparent wantonness -- and making the images ours. These male gaze erotic images are reappropriated by Scott for the female wearer.

Jackie O Meets The Aliens In Retro Modern American Style At Jeremy Scott's F/W 2018 Moschino Show

Rising model Kaia Gerber was joined by the Hadid sisters, Duckie Thot and Aiden Curtiss in a girl squad that channeled Jacqueline Onassis at Milan Fashion Week's Moschino show. The Jackie O treatment included prim, sherbet-colors skirtsuits with matching pillbox hats. But it's the curvy bobs that stole the show.

Vogue writes that hairstylist Paul Hanlon and his team took days preparing the Jackie bob wigs, color-matching them to each model's natural hair color, then sculpting them into curvy, sky-high bouffants, before freezing them with copious amounts of L'Oreal's Elnett Satin Hairspray. "They're a bit Jetson-like with the flicks at the ends," said an amused Hanlon backstage.

The finished effect was a Kaia Gerber who bore a striking resemblance to Onassis. See all the outfits
