Author, Françoise Sagan’s work, serves as an inspiration in the creation of this collection. Her novel ‘Bonjour Tristesse’ was published in 1954 when Sagan was only 18 years old.
The novel is far deeper than any campaign film or runway collection, and it floats as a kind of ennui and boredom with 1950s life and the people in it, by the pampered privilege set. As you can imagine, a reality check came knocking in ‘Bonjour Tristesse’, just as it came knocking in ‘The Graduate’ a decade later.
In the campaign film, Anok Yai plays the vision behind the lens, giving us a look at the other models in action.
