The fashion story and accompanying narratives are shared in both Vogue US and Vogue UK’s June/July issues.

AOC held our breath over these magnificent images that resonate with reverence for nature. Are the clothes sustainable? We believe they are in a large majority of the images. Key brands with major representation are Bode, Zero + Maria Cornejo, Collina Strada, Gabriela Hearst, and Chloé.

Are they perfect? No. But they are well on their way to being brands that environmentalists can be proud of.

Los Guayabos was established by six intrepid families just over 40 years ago. “It’s easier to achieve change and to come up with solutions together, collectively,” says Tindi Mar—here with her faithful husky, Lana—describing the benefits of living in a self-sustaining ecological community. Mar entered the world of modeling at a perfect moment of real and rapid change. Generally-speaking she has been successful in using her platform to champion her commitment to convincing us to protect the planet.

“What I’m wearing really affects the way I feel and the energy I emanate,” she said in another interview. “I miss the community when I’m traveling,” Mar explained. “I really need it for grounding – it just makes my spirit happy.”

Vogue does a great job of presenting Tindi Mar in an uncompromising to her way.

Photographer Santiago Sierra Soler explains his own visceral response to meeting Tindi:

Working with Tindi and Tonne for this project was really a dream that came true. I am incredibly passionate about nature, conservation and sustainability. Working in fashion I have been a fan of Tonne's work for many years. This is my first time shooting for Vogue US and to have had the opportunity to collaborate with the both of them for this story was not only rewarding but also really powerful. What I loved the most about meeting Tindi is that we both feel the same calling to spread a conscious message, and to lead by example. We are both passionate about protecting nature and the preservation of our indigenous traditions, as they are the keepers and our connection to Earth. I believe Mexico and Latin America are key players in changing the way we see the world.
