Florence Pugh Covers Vogue US Winter 2022, Talks Her Radical Self-Acceptance AOC Fashion

Schama describes Florence Pugh as somebody who exudes “a let’s-go gameness.” It was on full-display in summer 2022, when Pugh wore a sheer Valentino dress that was transparent and showed — goddess forbid — her nipples.

“. . . we were always naked as kids,” Pugh says. “We are human, we are bodies.”

“If I’m happy in it, then I’m gonna wear it. Of course, I don’t want to offend people, but I think my point is: How can my nipples offend you that much?”

Pugh refuses to accept the nonsense, when it comes to the corrupting effect on men of women’s bodies.

“It’s very important that we do this. I know that some people might scoff at me saying that, but if a dress with my breasts peeking through is encouraging people to say, ‘Well, if you were to get raped, you would deserve it,’ it just shows me that there’s so much more work to do.”

The Vogue interview goes deeply into Flo’s acting history and lingers over her love story and September 2022 breakup with Zach Braff. She takes issue with public commentary on their 21-year age gap, which she says was not a factor in their recent separation.

The two remain on excellent terms and their work is on public display in the upcoming film ‘A Good Person’, for which Pugh plays the lead and Braff directs.

The film is about Daniel (Morgan Freeman) and Allison (Pugh) as they befriend one another after Allison's involvement in "an unimaginable tragedy that [takes Daniel's] daughter's life," according to an official synopsis. Daniel would have been Allison’s father-in-law, had her engagement not ended after the accident.

Pugh is a producer on the film and participated in the casting, revising the script, and writing music that she (as Allison) would perform onscreen.
