Colin Kaepernick Narrates 2 Minute ''Dream Crazy' TV Commercial Booked On NFL Football

Hunkering down in its support of former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick with derision from Trump and threats of a boycott, NIKE released a two-minute commercial narrated by him on Wednesday. NIKE also announced plans to run the ad on the NFL's first broadcast of the regular season.

The ad, called “Dream Crazy,” features Mr. Kaepernick and other star athletes in the Nike stable, including Serena Williams and LeBron James. It implores viewers to dream big, using the inspiring stories of those stars and of everyday weekend warriors who overcame illness or disability to triumph athletically.  The emphasis on disabled and physically-impaired athletes is given huge exposure in the uplighting, American moxie, 'Just Do It' 30th anniversary commercial.

Greg Hughes, a spokesman for NBC Sports, confirmed to the New York Times that Nike had purchased airtime on Thursday’s N.F.L. game. The commercial is a shorter, 90-second version of this ad released digitally Wednesday. The league did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Nike is a major partner of the N.F.L.’s, providing the uniforms for all 32 teams and the clothing worn by everybody on an N.F.L. sideline.   Read on

Arbitrator Stephen Burbank Rules That Colin Kaepernick NFL Collusion Case Will Proceed

Arbitrator Stephen Burbank Rules That Colin Kaepernick NFL Collusion Case Will Proceed

New York Magazine reports that on Thursday an arbitrator rejected the NFL's request to dismiss Colin Kaepernick's collusion grievance against the National Football League. As a result, the case will move to a trial-like hearing not open to the public.

Arbitrator Stephen Burbank ruled that Kaepernick has enough evidence to pursue his claim that NFL owners have acted in collusion against him in not hiring him to play in the league. Kaepernick is seeking damages equal to what he would have earned if he were still playing in the league. Kaepernick could be awarded compensatory damages for the pay he lost due to collusion, in addition to punitive damages, potentially totaling tens of millions of dollars.

The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback began protesting police violence against African Americans by taking a knee during the playing of the national anthem. The protest action created enormous criticism from President Trump, even though taking a knee is a historical form of civil rights protests, and the national anthem was not part of NFL proceedings until the US military became a major NFL sponsor.

LeBron James Opens I PROMISE School | Trump Calls Lemon & LeBron Really Dumb | Melania Trump Praises James' New School Referencing A Future Visit

In a Tuesday tweet, Michelle Obama praised LeBron James for his recently-announced I PROMISE School, a joint venture between the Akron, Ohio school system and the LeBron James Family Foundation. The I PROMISE school officially launched on Monday with classes for third and fourth graders. It will expand each year with the goal of having grades one through eight by 2022.

Obama tweeted, “.@BarackObama and I are so proud of @KingJames and @IPROMISESchool. Kids in Akron and across the US are lucky to have you as a role model on and off the court. Keep using your platform for good and giving our kids a chance to shoot for the stars.  #ReachHigher #BetterMakeRoom

The new school's principal, Brandi Davis, is a veteran of the Akron school district, and she has served on the board of the LeBron James Family Foundation since its origination.  Davis has worked for Akron Public Schools for 18 years, as a teacher and principal at Central Hower, as an assistant principal at East High School and a principal at Schumacher Elementary School. She earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Akron, and lives on the west side.

As LeBron James' admirers far and wide -- including the business community -- appauded his new school initiative, America's racist, white nationalist president created a uproar, taking to Twitter on Friday night after James spoke calmly and with composure in a CNN interview with Don Lemon recorded on Monday.

Accused Panthers Owner Jerry Richardson Will Sell Team, As Sean Combs Launches Bid To Be First NFL Black Owner

America's post-Weinstein sexual-harassment/sexual assault reckoning reached the NFL over the weekend, in a series of swift moves that culminated in Carolina Panthers owner Jerry Richardsonannouncing that he will sell his franchise at the end of the season.

“I believe that it is time to turn the franchise over to new ownership,” Richardson said. “Therefore, I will put the team up for sale at the conclusion of this NFL season. We will not begin the sale process, nor will we entertain any inquiries, until the very last game is played. I hope everyone in this organization, both on and off the field, will be firmly focused on just one mission: to play and win the Super Bowl.”

On Sunday rapper and music mogul Sean Combs, aka P Diddy, took to Twitter saying that he would like to buy the Panthers, promising to be "the best NFL owner that you can imagine". Diddy promised to consider hiring Colin Kaepernick, who launched the NFL's players feud with President Trump, and was at the center of NFL players taking a knee worldwide.

If Diddy were to own the Panthers by himself, he would become the league's first majority African-American owner. Our instincts say that the list of African American sports players who would join an ownership syndicate run by Diddy is huge. So he can raise the money.

Back that with a national social media campaign with Americans of every skin color supporting this bid, and Diddy's group would have the upper hand, leaving the NFL owners to fight sexual harassment allegations in the league, the Colin Kaepernick ongoing story and a Trumpian/post-Charlottesville mindset among progressives that would trash the NFL owners beyond belief if the league retained its white owners status.

Led By NFL Players, Americans 'Take A Knee' Against Trump's Racist White Nationalism

Led By NFL Players, Americans 'Take A Knee' Against Trump's Racist White Nationalism

Once again America's racist, misogynist president Donald Trump has shown his true colors, causing more than a dozen -- 17 accounted for -- NFL players to 'take a knee' during America's anthem at today's NFL game between the Baltimore Ravens and Jacksonville Jaguars in London. The same players stood for the playing of the British anthem.

The teams' owners also went on the record, with $1 million Trump donor Shad Khan, owner of the Jaguars,  linking arms with his players. “We recognize our players’ influence.” Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti, another $1 million Trump donorsaid in a statement on Sunday. “We respect their demonstration and support them 100 percent. All voices need to be heard. That’s democracy in its highest form.”

This is a developing story on Sunday. All over America, people are 'taking a knee', led by NFL players.
