Mona Tougaard Drowns In A Sea of Stuff in W Magazine's 'Extra, Extra' March Issue

Top model Mona Tougaard sends a spring 2025 fashion message with zero ambiguity: ‘Extra, Extra! This Spring More Is More’ in the March 2025 issue of W Magazine.

I mention that this fabulously successful model she does not look happy. Rather, she’s thinking “How the hell did I end up in this mess!”

Honestly, this fashion story could win the award for the most cluttered fashion story ever. Especially with Mona lying on the table in Louis Vuitton. We add Miu Miu with Mona atop that sea of blue bags.

The Hermès orange pantsuit is très utilitarian but the premier model needs a shovel to create a path out of there. If the NYFD shows up to declare the site a fire hazard capable of burning down Manhattan, Mona’s going to Rikers.

Is anything sustainable here? What a commentary on the state of America.

The stock market has lost over 11 trillion $$$ since Trump was inaugurated. I think some of it is just misplaced in here and we can’t see the green. It looks like Trump’s bathroom in Mar-a-Lago — with all the boxes of classified documents. AND his office in Trump Tower.

I must wind this up, as Anne’s eyes are crossing, and I’m sure you’re not amused. WAIT! This is hoarding going on due to all the tariff chaos, right? Or, it was a really bad April Fool’s joke?

Oh well. There’s always Paris. And when fashion editors wrote that quiet luxury is over, I’m not sure this was what they had in mind. ~ Anne
