Rafael Pavarotti and Ib Kamara's Brilliant 'Nomades' on Steroids Vogue Hommes March 2021

Fine then! Just pick me up off the floor, as I have expired and gone to goddess heaven in the face of ‘Nomades’, a rebel-rousing, simply fabulous, fashion-story smack in the face from a cast who asks: “Do you get my message now, people?”

OMG, I LOVE IT!!!! My brain cannot process this much gorgeous, social commentary, total artistry stimulation after only one cup of French Roast.

Bravo photographer and creative brain on steroids Rafael Pavarotti [IG] ! Bravo Ib Kamara [IG] — equally talented stylist and creative brain on steroids EIC of Dazed.

The cast members in the visual extravaganza, social commentary on race, gender identity and luxury include Aphile Carter, Babacar N’doye, Cherif Douamba, Dennis Okwera, Jacob Lyttle, Mammina Aker, Momo Ndiaye and Omar Sesay. / Hair by Eugene Souleiman; makeup by Ammy Drammeh; set designer Ibby Njoya; casting director Mischa Notcutt

I do think we could have a snap or two of models trying to rip bags out of the arms of those who can’t have too many. In no way do these images acknowledge the global sustainability concerns of most of us.

But hey — you’ll get no serious criticism from me on Vogue Hommes’ March 2021 fashion story ‘Nomades’. It’s just fashionably brilliant — and irreverent at the same time.

Can you imagine if Anna Wintour’s team had known the guts to run a series like this one of Vice President Kamala Harris moving into Oval Office? It could have read: “Next Stop.” I might not have been so crushed with that insipid, milk-toast, lackluster visual and editorial feature they gave Haris around the Biden-Harris Inauguration.

I need to go take a walk by the water. Seriously, I’m goin’ down to the river like in Alvin Ailey’s ‘Revelations’. If I smoked, I would have a ciggie. LOL. Just great work! ~ Anne
