Finding this Numero 66 Vincent Peters editorial of Mona Johannesson was like meeting an old friend this morning. I used these photos in a fashion presentation years ago.

The photo above reminds me of how detached we are from our senses, as Mona Johannesson moved blindfolded and detached from her senses. She’s unable to experience the flowers or scent bottle lying on the table.

The second photo was one of my earliest that symbolized the challenge of senses, purity, religion and nudity among women. I used it to talk about that conflict. The Vincent Peters photographic style captures this ambivalence.
