Kate Moss | Mario Testino | Vogue US September 2011 | 'Kiss Me Kate'

Captured by Mario Testino, whose schedule prompted Kate Moss to change her wedding day from Saturday to Friday in order to accommodate his schedule, a newly married Moss covers the September 2011 issue of Vogue US wearing Alexander McQueen.

Inside the magazine’s delicious wedding day images, Kate is featured alongside her husband Jamie Hince and daughter Lila Grace in a mix of posed and candid shots. Wearing romantic designs from the likes of Lanvin, Tom Ford and Calvin Klein, you would never believe that this superstar model had a breakdown moment with Mario Testino, as she cried backstage at John Galliano’s first Paris show.

In that dim, distant past, when a model’s success was judged by the number of changes she had in a show, Kate had been given only one outfit and was feeling unloved. Mario comforted her. “You know, in life there’s perfume and there’s cologne,” he told her. “Cologne, you have to spray every fifteen minutes. Perfume, you put a drop and it lasts a week. You’re perfume.”

What a lovely statement from Mario Testino to the young Kate Moss. The interview continues at Vogue.com.
