I just wrote a very rebellious post about ANOTHER ladylike editorial that is so predictable. This constipated image dump could go on for months since it’s only early February. For crying out loud, the Republicans aren’t running the country yet. SOOOOO, I really appreciate Balovino Barani’s original editorial published in January’s SCMP (South China Morning Post.) It’s brilliant!
Called ‘Senior Citizens’, Barani captures models Meng and Patti Zhao, posing in an urban setting as boomer women now old enough to remember the last time they wore these clothes. The styling is a bit updated in places but I positively adore this witty, eccentric look at ‘senior style’. Cheryl Leung styles the duo in Dior, Louis Vuitton, Givenchy and Marc Jacobs.
