Julianne Moore Smolders In Talk About Life's Meaning For LA Confidential Spring 2015

Oscar-nominated Julianne Moore has beauty, brains and … balls, writes Luke Crisell for LA Confidential. This is the fifth Oscar nomination for Moore, who is considered to be the front-runner for her role as a newly-diagnosed Alzheimer’s patient in ‘Still Alice’. The film does successfully what so many films do not, as it explores the deeper meaning of life.

‘It’s so very rare that you get anybody’s subjective journey through anything in a film. We all say that we’re aware of our own mortality, but we’re not,’ she said.

‘It’s always present but we choose to deny it. In this case there’s a woman who’s forced to say, “The end of my life is coming, and I’m going to have to experience it disappearing.”’

Moore is lensed by Kurt Iswarienko and styled by Deborah Afshani in Lanvin, Saint Laurent, Fendi, Balenciaga and more.
