Karlie Kloss In CDC By Steven Klein For V Magazine

Days after hanging up her wings as a Victoria’s Secret Angel, Karlie Kloss is almost unrecognizable in this V Magazine shoot lensed by Steven Klein. Stylist Patti Wilson styles Karlie in less romantic and more fetish-inspired pieces from Comme des Garçons ‘Blood & Roses’ spring collection than Sorrenti’s LOVE magazine’s presentation. The ecclesiastical reference of the hood is trademark Klein and a reference to designer Rei Kawakubo’s quote:

Often in history the image of the rose was more connected with blood and wars, in relation to political conflict, religious strife, and power struggles. This is what was interesting to me this time.
