Rosie Huntington-Whiteley By Simon Emmett For Esquire UK April 2015

Top model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley fronts Esquire UK’s Travel Issue, lensed by Simon Emmett. Deborah Afshani styles Rosie in beach babe swimwear, while Alex Bilmes conducts the interview, comparing his vision of Rosie walking across a London hotel dining room, to dawn over the Serengeti or Venice by moonlight.

Reflecting on her globetrotting life, Rosie shares a new passion and appreciation for Britain and her country roots in Devon. Admitting that ‘It’s a very privileged bubble I rotate in, and it’s important for me to remember that.’

Rosie is passionate about Thailand and Cambodia, having watched the run rise over Angkor Wat and working with UNICEF, talking to survivors of the Khmer Rouge regime and visiting the killing fields — all from her temporary home at the Sala Lodges in Siem Reap.

Thailand she values for the anonymity it gave her. “It was really the first time in the five years we’ve been together where Jason and I have been able to lie on a beach and not have some zoom lens up our arses, where people weren’t really fussed about us, and we were able to do normal things,” she says. “And you can’t get the Daily Mail in Thailand so that is one of the major reasons to go back there.’

Now Rosie, there’s always the Internet and they have it in Thailand. Like  Rosie, I love Aman Resorts. A few years ago, I shared details of my stay at an Aman resort in Bali: Totally Exposed by Miskala Spirits in Amankila, Bali. ~ Anne

Note that AOC did not cover Rosie’s new, shorter haircut. We deemed it not of interest to AOC’s critical-thinking readers.
