Angelina Jolie Honored Bosnian Film Festival for 'Land of Blood and Honey'

One of our key AOC muses Angelina Jolie was honored last night in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The actress was clearly moved to tears, as she received a heart-shaped award at the closing ceremony of the 17th Sarajevo Film Festival.

Honored with a standing ovation for her controversial, often criticized film director debut movie ‘The Land of Blood and Honey’ Angelina said ‘I told Brad in the car I was afraid I was going to cry.’ And she did — in all her beautiful simplicity and elegance — our consummate Smart Sensuality woman.

‘The Land of Blood and Honey’ comes to US theaters on December 23, 2011. The film stars Rade Serbedzija, Nikola Djuricko, Goran Kostic and is directed by Angelina Jolie. No trailer is available for the film that focuses not only on the Bosnian War but the rape of women.
