“I wanted to celebrate the balance of our heritage with the importance of always evolving and looking forward,” said Burberry’s chief creative officer Riccardo Tisci about Burberry’s TB Summer Monogram collection.. “The collection captures that optimistic feeling of summer and that feeling of constant momentum — the excitement for what’s next. I couldn’t think of anyone better to symbolize this enduring nature than my incredible friend, Naomi.”

Colors in Burberry’s TB Summer Monogram collection include include cobalt, royal blue and gray; the collection launches globally on July 16.

‘Naomi’ is Tisci’s close friend Naomi Campbell who poses in campaign images that combine still imagery and CGI technology. The modern-day, goddess-rising out of water imagery is achieved with the supermodel, new mom standing atop architectural plinths reflected in mirrored water.

Visual artist Frederik Heyman created the campaign video which shows a CGI realization of Campbell. The stylist on the campaign was Catherine Baba. with images by Dano Steiner. / Makeup by Adam Fleischhauer; hair by Jawara Wauchope

Campbell said Tisci “continually manages to bring another facet out of me, pushing me to do things I don’t think I can do. Working with Burberry is always such an honor. It’s a British institution and, in a way, you feel like you’re representing your country.”

Naomi’s Instagram comment resonates in this historical moment of racial abuse heaped on three of Britain’s soccer players, charged with losing Sunday’s soccer match to Italy.

On the one hand we want to stand up for our countries; on the other hand, we weep over the evil that permeates these same countries. Make no mistake, racism is evil among humans. We have the capacity to transcend racial bigotry, and we choose not to.

“The minute the game was over my mind said I hope the England team will be ok mentally, I know pressure but , nothing like what both teams must have felt today , with intention to bring glory to their respected countries .. It’s with heavy heart I have to hear and read such disgusting racial comments , easy to be a hater , BUT it’s not easy what you players do ! .. I can Only tell you I’ve lived this on a smaller scale , and I want to let you know HOW PROUD I AM OF YOU ALL , AS YOU GAVE YOUR ALL , AND DONT LET THE IGNORANT VOICES IN .. STAY ON YOUR LEVEL , DREAM BIGGER, REACH HIGHER AND LET THAT DRIVE YOU .. AS YOU ARE WINNERS FULFILLING YOUR LIFE LONG PASSION ⚽️❤️⚽️❤️ 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🙏🏾 #STOPTHEHATE #STOPRACISM
