If Kanye West, legally known as Ye, read books, he would know the story of Icarus. AOC will educate West on that Greek history lesson with a TED video. It only took an announcement from Adidas for Kanye West to fall to earth and off the Forbes billionaire list, as a 21st century living example of the famous greek son of Daedalus.

Now Icarus died, but hopefully the Kanye West story will not evolve in this direction. For starters, hopefully West will seek medical treatment, as his Godly reign is now over. Can he recover as an uber-talented man with an ounce of humility? I doubt it, but hope springs eternal for Kanye, who I once admired.

Not only did Kanye West as Icarus fall to earth on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022. Forbes has notified the world that he has also fallen off the Forbes Billionaire List. He has no one to blame but himself for this plunge in his financial fortunes.

Forbes explained the decision this way:

"I can say anti-Semitic s—- and Adidas cannot drop me," said the rapper, who legally now goes by the name Ye, on the Drink Champs podcast earlier this month. Ye, who had worked with Adidas since 2013 on his Yeezy line of super expensive, super popular sneakers, thought he was untouchable. After all, Adidas gets an estimated 4% to 8% of its sales from Yeezy products, according to investment bank Cowen. For Ye, it was an even bigger deal, accounting for $1.5 billion of his net worth.

Forbes explains their calculations:

The $1.5 billion value of the Adidas deal was calculated off of a multiple of annual earnings. Based on interviews with industry experts, Forbes had viewed the royalties Ye received from Adidas to be similar to royalties from music catalogs or film residuals. The Adidas income stream could be sold off, those experts said, just like dozens of musicians (including the likes of Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen) have sold off their life’s work over the past two years.

Like his good friend, the treacherous Donald Trump, Kanye has battled with Forbes over the value of his former-fortune. Forbes writes:

Ye always felt his net worth was undervalued. When he first made the list in 2020, with an estimated $1 billion fortune, Ye wasn’t happy. “It’s not a billion,” he texted us at the time. “It’s $3.3 billion since no one at Forbes knows how to count.”

Kanye West will be blaming the Kardashians and Jews before the day is over. Just remember Kanye, you can’t clean up this crisis, and your kids will be reading about these days as they grow up. Just as Icarus ignored all the wisdom around him, Kanye didn’t give a tinkers damn about the Adidas stock price that has been plunging since West went wild with his anti-Semitism.

Maybe Ye worships at the altar of Louis Farrakhan, but most professionals watching the wax melting in Kanye’s wings were also watching the Adidas stock price. When a stock is falling this rapidly, thinking financial minds — and I have one — start thinking that Kanye could tank the whole company because he has become a total liability.

When a guy shoves porn in your face and tells you this is what you are, this relationship is now worse than a really bad marriage. Then he releases the video for the whole world to see.

Kanye thought he was the big man on campus, but the rest of us watched and said : “Holy f###. This dude is totally out of control. He is a lunatic.”

When a partner is so arrogant that he brings in his man to be the CEO of all Adidas — after he shoved the porn film in the face of Addidas execs — management is naked before the world. Meanwhile, Kanye West was high-fiving — unable to sense that the wax was melting in his wings.

And now, Kanye West’s ex-wife is worth way more than he is. And AOC’s prediction is that he will try to destroy her. Because this is how Kanye West rolls, and this awful saga is far from over. ~ Anne

For the first time in its 80-year history, the prestigious School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) has rescinded the highly-valued, prestigious honorary doctorate it awarded to Kanye West in 2015.

In an email sent to members of the SAIC community today, the school’s president Elissa Tenny cited Ye’s recent “disturbing behaviors” and “dangerous statements” as the reasons behind the decision.

Unlike Nike’s Michael Jordan standalone partnership, where the two groups are separate but both flying under the Nike banner, the Adidas - Kanye West relationship was run under the Adidas organization. Separate teams were created for the Yeezy business, but the staff was Adidas for the most part.

According to Rolling Stone, the Adidas employees claimed that senior managers were aware of West’s “problematic behaviour” but “turned their moral compass off” and failed to protect its employees against “years of verbal abuse, vulgar tirades, and bullying attacks.”

West appears to have been a rude, crude, demanding, demeaning, controlling, sleezy, misogynist provocateur in his role as a critical Adidas partner.
