Kanye West Pulls Out of Coachella Reports Variety | Change.org Petition inches to 50,000

Variety has published a late Monday story that Kanye West [legally known as Ye, but I’m tired of Kanye spinning my head around] has withdrawn from the Coachella Festival. The divine rapper was scheduled to play the closing night of the two-weekend festival, which runs April 15-17 and April 22-24. Variety says the news was first reported by TMZ — who rarely makes mistakes in their breaking news.

TMZ wrote that without Kanye, Travis Scott won’t be appearing either.

AOC noted last week in what must be ‘10 Great Reasons for Kanye West Not to Play Coachella’, that the divine rapper, who gets his instructions from God in the shower, was defying the owners of the Coachella Festival, who dropped Travis Scott from the schedule after the Astroworld tragedy.

Travis Scott has over 500 lawsuits filed against him, giving any promoter the right to drop him legally until all the legal issues are settled. Kanye made it very clear that he takes his marching orders from God, and he intended to bring Travis Scott on stage whether the Coachella owners said it was legal or not.

When Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars, totally drowning the jubilation that should have gone for the winning documentary ‘Summer of Soul’ it seems reasonable to assume that the Coachella owners took a deep breath.

Last night’s Grammy Awards gave the ‘Summer of Soul’ Questlove team the spotlight they deserved, winning the Grammy for Best Music Film. ‘Summer of Soul’ has won many awards, so take a moment and give Ahmir ‘Questlove’ Thompson his due. My true soulmate design assistant was from West Philly, and I resented this wonderful documentary getting blotted out over the Big Slap, or whatever it’s called.

I even took care of Zuwena’s baby, so there you go.

One assumes that the strong Christian values billionaire Philip Anschutz, who owns Coachella, was thrilled to have Kanye rap God talk to his big flock of worshippers. [Note that unlike Kanye, Ansuhutz is not a Trump supporter, according to reports]. However, West was carrying a lot of metaphorical dynamite into the concert, given his promises to bring Travis Scott up to perform as well as Kanye’s general state of behavior for the last two months.

Variety notes that Kanye had nothing prepared for Coachella, North America’s largest music festival.

Besides embracing Travis Scott {note that AOC has no beef with Scott and has written very positively about him, his work for Dior, and his foundation], Kanye is very aggrieved over what he calls the #MeToo mentality. As a result he has welcomed Marilyn Manson, who is accused of serious sexual assault and proudly claimed that he had a rape room according to Rolling Stone, into his divine inner circle of holy men. Rolling Stone interviewed 55 people in their investigation Marilyn Manson: The Monster in Plain Sight.

Kanye wasn’t having it, choosing to invite Manson into his divine sanctuary, seeing Manson as a victim and all his accusers as the Devil’s women. West is talking about ME and all the women I represent. So Kanye West can go to hell in my playbook.

Watching the Netflix three-part documentary jeen-yuhs didn’t prompt me to change my mind at all about Kanye. He lost me about eight years ago. And frankly, when even Denzel Washington blamed the Will Smith debacle on the Devil, my heart wept. ~ Anne
