Marrakech-born, America resident, Moroccan model Rania Benchegra takes two covers for the January 2024 issue of Vogue Arabia.

The model’s half-page of work assignments listed at Model.com makes her cover girl status even more impressive.

Reading Vogue Arabia’s introduction to the January 2024 issue, we learn that this gorgeous model “first caught the world’s attention during 2023’s Vogue Open Casting, and has already walked for the likes of Louis Vuitton, Schiaparelli, and Versace.”

Well . . . sort of. . . this is the first time the model has caught the world’s attention. I’m quite certain she’s in the pages of AOC.

As Vogue noted in her September 2023 Open Casting bio write-up “Say yes” is one of the mottos Benchegra lives by. She also carries cumin everywhere.

Believing in “yes” is high on the list of successful people.

Rania in Hong Kong for Louis Vuitton Men’s Pre-Fall 2024

Benchegra holds another special status for a brand new model, having come to the attention of Pharrell Williams for his recent Louis Vuitton Mens pre-fall 2024 show in Hong Kong. That’s a big wow.

So is Rania actually an ingenue model? We’re not sure, but . . . . she’s definitely a resilient, determined 28-year-old woman who believes in herself. And the world needs more Ranias.

Rania Benchegra History

Seven years ago Vogue Arabia’s January 2018 issue identified Rania Benchegra as a “Moroccan model on the rise.”

In 2011, the now 28-year-old was discovered by an Elite Model Scout shopping at a mall in Marrakech. At lightening speed, Rania found herself working with Anna Ewers in a H&M Forever Summer campaign, followed by a cameo in a Victoria’s Secret Pink campaign.

The model finished her high school diploma and pursued studies in cinema before committing to modeling full-time and moving to America.

As is the case with most models, juggling university studies and modeling is difficult to manage — next to impossible. Just ask Christy Turlington and Karlie Kloss.

An avid surfer, philanthropist, and cinema enthusiast (Benchegra also happens to hold a degree in film), our January 2024 cover star’s journey has just begun, and she hopes to use her platform to uplift people as she continues to grow.
