Zendaya has no intention to make music anytime soon. Not only is her life overflowing with acting projects like her just-opened film ‘Challengers’, where her character Tashi, a fiercely-competitive tennis phenom turned coach over an accident, whips her husband into shape on the tennis court and in the bedroom.

Zendaya is the cover star for both American Vogue and British Vogue’s May 2024 issues, photographed for American Vogue [IG] in these images by Annie Leibovitz [IG] and for British Vogue by Carlijn Jacobs. Marley Marius is in charge of her Vogue interviews.

Returning to why Zendaya has little interest in making more music, the lack of privacy afforded pop stars on the road for long periods of time is too overwhelming in the star’s mind.

To hear Zendaya speak of enjoying personal anonymity is understandable — if somewhat hard to believe — given her and boyfriend Tom Holland’s spontaneous trip to the Louvre in October 2022, as told to Marius.

Tom Holland in Romeo and Juliet

While Zendaya is promoting her film, ‘Challengers’, her ‘Spiderman’ boyfriend is preparing for a return to the stage in London. Shakespeare’s play ‘Romeo and Juliet’ will open at the Duke of York's Theatre on May 11.

Holland, who will play Romeo, is joined by Francesca Amewudah-Rivers as Juliet. Her West End debut has been marred with a “barrage of racial abuse”, according to headlines.

The Jamie Lloyd Company 12-week run production sold out in two hours at £200 and higher. The play is headed to Broadway this fall, with details to follow.

Returning to Zendaya, she is joined in her interview by Serena Williams, who is not a close friend but someone Zendaya would like to know better. That’s an interesting twist.

Zendaya is a co-chair of this year’s Met Gala, joining Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny and Chris Hemsworth. Loewe's creative director Jonathan Anderson and TikTok CEO Chew are Honorary Met Gala chairs.
