Meet Kuri, The 'Insanely Cute' Home Robot By Mayfield Robotics

Kuri stands about 20 inches tall and is programmed to respond to its user with facial expressions, head movements and sounds. Unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) show in Las Vegas this week, the Kuri robot, developed by Mayfield Robotics, is designed to monitor connected products, but to also create a new personality in the home.

Kuri, priced at $699, joins an "increasingly crowded field" writes MIT Technology Review, joining Amazon's Alexa and Google Home, with new wheeled robots like Jibo, Pepper, and Buddy who are "ready to offer companionship and entertainment."

At this moment Kuri's arms are only visual cues, but the charming 'creature' will surely walk the dog in the future.
