Actor and Golden Globe winner Emma Corrin, now famous for playing Diana, Princess of Wales in the fourth season of Netflix series ‘The Crown’ fronts Miu Miu’s Fall 2021 campaign ‘A Brave Heart’.
The series of five campaign film — we’ve shared the first — is poignant given that Corrin recently posted on Instagram about buying her first “binder”. And she shared the story with such poetry!! On Instagram. That’s an art.
Steven Meisel [IG] shoots the campaign as a series of quietly confrontational, honest images in which Corrin — representing the female collective — shares a series of quiet questions, silent communication, everyday anecdotes and recollections.
After all, we understand, don’t we. If our minds are comparatively free, of course The freer our minds, the more lucid is her message. Corrin is tender and playful . . . but she is not playing.

Miu Miu celebrates bravery, boldness – it is rooted in and inspired by communities of women, in the power of the collective. Accompanying the print campaign, a series of five short films allow Corrin to reinvent herself once more – as different characters, within different personae. Corrin reads aloud a series of anecdotes, recollections, remembrances – recounting memories, true and imaginary, in her own voice and those of others. Again, lines are blurred: is Corrin acting, or actual – are these her words, or a script?
