Kate Beckinsale Is An Autumn Heroine Lensed By Robert Ascroft For Glass Magazine Fall 2017

Actor Kate Beckinsale joins Alek Wek, Arizona Muse and Karmen Pedaru as one of Glass Magazine's 'Autumn Heroines'. Lensed by Robert Ascroft, Beckinsale is styled by Danni + Emma, in Miu Miu, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Chanel and more.

The actor was among the first women to condemn disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, asserting that her spurning him also hurt her career. After detailing her first meeting with Weinstein in what is now the proverbial naked under the bathrobe meeting in his hotel room -- where a teenage Beckinsale explained she had to do to school --the actor wrote that she rejected Weinstein's sexual advances many times. People recaps:

“I said no to him professionally many times over the years-some of which ended up with him screaming at me calling me a c— and making threats, some of which made him laughingly tell people oh ‘Kate lives to say no to me,’ ” she recalled.

Beckinsale said her alleged experiences with Weinstein “undoubtedly harmed” her career.

“It speaks to the status quo in this business that I was aware that standing up for myself and saying no to things,” she wrote. “While it did allow me to feel uncompromised in myself, undoubtedly harmed my career and was never something I felt supported by anyone other than my family.”
