Ellen Von Unwerth's Impeccably Sexy, Iconic Guess Jeans Fall 2010 Campaign

Bravo, Ellen Von Unwerth. Do your thing, girl! You wrote the book on how to take sexy poor-town girls and, making them New York Meathpacking District-worthy. Perfect iconic note for a global economic meltdoor.

In tough times, sexy, salt-of-the earth, trusty denim resonates.

I can think of another global brand that should get smart like Paul Marciano, GUESS, Inc. Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Paul Marciano and go back to its origins. Don’t hold your heavenly breath and instead take a look at the stunning new collaboration with GUESS’s iconic image maker Ellen Von Unwerth, the artistic eye that helped launch GUESS into the global lifestyle brand it is today.

“Working alongside Ellen and incorporating our rock ‘n’ roll history combined with a picturesque setting, stunning talent and impeccably designed clothing are the perfect ingredients for another iconic campaign,” says Paul Marciano, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of GUESS? Inc. “Through Ellen’s lens we have created yet another masterpiece to sit alongside the classic campaigns that have made GUESS a household name.” via Denim Debutante

Returning to its iconic roots, GUESS retained the expensive big-gun Von Unwerth who takes those potentially Rockabilly girls and renders them positively scrumptious, and never trailer trash. This is Ellen Von Unwerth’s artistic masterstroke, one she employed in the classic GUESS campaigns of the 1980’s and 1990’s including famed GUESS models Claudia Schiffer, Carre Otis, and Eva Herzigova.
