Anja Rubik, Cora Emmanuel and Stephen Galloway In Inez & Vinoodh Dance Class Images For 032c Magazine Summer 2015

AOC apologizes for being quite flip in our original posting of these images of top model Anja Rubik in 032c Magazine [IG], Summer 2015. After some serious online sleuthing in March, 2024 — prompted by major page reads on this story in recent weeks — we determined via a website that hasn’t published since 2020 — the full facts around these images, now expanded. Three artists appear in the fashion shoot: Anja Rubik [IG], Cora Emmanuel [IG] and Stephen Galloway [IG].

Stephen Galloway is today a Creative Movement Director, who grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania and joined Ballet Frankfurt at age 17, as a semi-trained dancer with marvelous movement skills. The young Galloway left for Europe to work with credentialed choreographers who could mentor him in advancing his skills at the very time American choreographer William Forsythe arrived at Ballet Frankfurt. Galloway became a principal dancer from 1986 to 2004, tutored by the choreographer.

Galloway expended his universe of creative contacts, even working in an expanded role beyond choreographer with the Rolling Stones. Along the way he worked as a creative consultant with photographers Inez & Vinoodh, which is how this fashion story came to exist.

Stephen Galloway and Anja Rubik were joined by Cora Emmanuel with styling by Mel Ottenberg [IG] in Inez & Vinoodh [IG] images for 032c Magazine Summer 2015, and the name of the story is ‘What We Believe.’ The ballet inspiration and complete story are clear in the totality of the images.

AOC only understood it as a modern dance moment with Anja Rubik, and we would never not share the interesting background of a fashion shoot like this one. Our apologies to all the creatives involved; and we have corrected our gross treatment of serious fashion artistry story. It may be our worst ‘fail’ since 2007 and I am shaking my head. ~ Anne
