Christy Turlington Burns Joins Marc Jacobs In Exquisite Fall 2019 Images By Steven Meisel

Supermodel Christy Turlington and designer Marc Jacobs made a big splash in February when Christy closed out the Marc Jacobs fall 2019 show, returning to the runway after more than 20 years. Always committed to following her own north star, the original supermodel left the runway at age 25, returning in the year she turned 50.

Christy Turlington extends her long friendship with Marc Jacobs, fronting the fall 2019 ad campaign lensed by Steven Meisel. Katie Grand styles the maternal health activist in bird of paradise, gallery-worthy black and white studio portraits. For beauty, Pat McGrath works on makeup with hair by Guido Palau.

Turlington Burns shares another honor this week, appearing along with 14 other women in British Vogue’s “Forces for Change” September 2019 issue, guest edited by Meghan Markle, Duchess of Essex. The single silver square left open by photographer Peter Lindbergh is meant to reflect the opportunity for each of us to become a force for change in today’s complicated world.

The British Vogue cover is Peter Lindbergh’s first since September 1992 and it will hit newsstands on Friday, August 2.
