Jennifer Lopez launches Self Magazine’s January 2015 issue with a clear cover message: LOVE YOUR BODY!!!! Self describes Lopez — lensed in all white, sporting clothes by Alexi Lubomirski — as fundamentally an athlete, writing that “she approaches her life with the same kind of intense kinetic energy that informs her choreography.”
2015 As A Nonstop Year: First, there is her day job as the good-cop judge on American Idol. Lopez is already partnering with health and fitness company BodyLab to create a new program for women by women. A look at the BodyLab website finds fitness routines, recipes, health tips, nutrition articles, smoothies and calorie and exercise trackers — plus BodyLab’s supplements and diet products.
Lopez’s small budget movie ‘The Boy Next Door’ opens soon. In a reverse ‘Fatal Attraction’ erotic thriller, Lopez plays Claire Peterson, a neglected wife who is seduced into a one-night stand by the 19-year-old next door. Lopez produced the $4 million budget movie herself.
On Being A Love Addict: Facing her failed relationships, Jennifer Lopez explains that people handle pain in different ways. “Some go out and party and sleep around, but that’s just not my way. I found the comfort in someone else. That’s called being a love addict.”
Lopez concluded that she had a fundamental fear of really being on her own and of facing her fears. Admitting that it has taken her years to get to this positive place of being, Lopez says: “So first it was about learning to love myself. And then it was about facing my fears.”
On Dating Younger Men: “all the old clichés about women need to be undone. Enough already!” And Lopez hates being called a cougar.
