Bookslut writer Elizabeth Hildreth interviews Kathleen Rooney about her life as an art model. (FYI, Madonna did same in her early years in New York, and the photos fetched a big price but not for her.)

The apparently well-adjusted Rooney celebrates her nudity, as opposed to being naked. She shares the difference in her Bookslut interview. A precious line or two:

Speaking of eating, I loved reading about the instructor who would call attention to your slightly fuller stomach after you would go to lunch and — gasp! — eat.  Basically telling her students: Don’t paint the stomach for at least two hours. [Subtext: Fatty ate a bagel!]
