adidas Is ‘Re-Evaluating’ its partnership with Balenciaga, “pausing” all co-created product launches “until further notice.”

The news came quietly, with customers supplying Sneaker Freaker with copies of emails they’ve received from adidas regarding the pre-order of Balenciaga/adidas Stan Smith trainers.

In a bit of irony, Balenciaga tells customers a different story, that the “trainers will be delayed in shipment”.

Balenciaga Suggests Trainers Are In the Pipeline

In case you thought this might be a coordinated message between the two brands to the same customers, it obviously was not. Balenciaga cites a production delay, saying “We will notify you again once the item is shipped.”

It’s impossible to believe that Balenciaga is unaware of the adidas position, suggesting that 1) the two companies are not faring well together in this situation — directly tied to Balenciaga’s recent BDSM kiddie porn ad controversy — and also 2) that Balenciaga hasn’t learned a lesson about transparency in exactly how that ad came to exist, when we all know that the probability is that a right-hand to Demna, or the designer himself signed off on the campaign.

In his October 13, 2022 interview with T Magazine’s Nick Haramis, Demna spoke to his Balenciaga resort 2023 collection which included models in “wool coats and sequined gowns worn over full-body latex bondage suits”.

S&M gear “was very personal to me, part of my sexual education,” Demna explained.

Without any additional information, the logical conclusion to the perfectly-timed, Balenciaga BDSM kiddie-porn controversy with the resort collection narrative is that Demna does support ‘grooming’ children and was absolutely being the provocateur in generating the outrage.

If it worked for him, why not promote the idea in suburbia! Brilliant!

Balenciaga has gone silent, totally silent after making the single statement of apology a couple weeks ago. Now we have Balenciaga not being straight with sneaker customers, and those customers sending the conflicting messages to Sneaker Freaker.

Note to Demna: if you don’t have the nerves to drive a Bugatti, don’t get behind the wheel.

Because the rest of us are left picking up the pieces, trying to explain to American voters in AOC’s case, that we DO NOT support grooming children. Go pour your gasoline and light a fire somewhere in the middle of the desert, where you don’t put all of us under your seedy microscope.

Your sexual proclivities hold no interest for those of us who are fighting authoritarian right-wingers who hate you on every front. You say you can’t go back to Georgia because your own uncle would have you killed. So you should have a glimmer of understanding into the battle we are fighting. Talk about narcissism!

Given Demna’s open admission of his own views on S&M for young people, no wonder adidas put the Balenciaga relationship on pause. Make no mistake, though. This same thinking — known as ‘pederasty’ — is the foundation of Western civilization in Greece and then Rome, so let’s not be clutching our pearls here. ~ Anne
