Kate Moss Loves Her Diet Coke in ES Magazine July 22 by Quentin Jones AOC Fashion

Legendary 1990s supermodel Kate Moss was recently named the new creative director of Diet Coke. The brand says it tapped her for her “unique aesthetic and style”, a heritage Moss owned as she delivered four limited edition cans of Diet Coke in London this week. There are five in all.

Inside Kate Moss’ Fridge

ES Magazine editor Ben Cobb visited Kate in at her west London home. Writing that at age 48, Kate Moss looks “incredible” would be a waste of words, says Cobb. But Moss leaves him defenseless against her magic powers — and so he writes just that.

Cobb nails down his credentials though, writing “At this point, it’s worth pointing out that a one-on-one with Kate Moss is a rare-as-hen’s-teeth event.”

You know how so many men of whatever sexual persuasion lose their powers of intelligent thinking in the presence of a formidable women. This is exactly why we require constant monitoring for thousands of years.

A Mighty Good Woman!

LOL. Kate Moss is a good little woman, though. Or perhaps Cobb is really special. “during our chat, she keeps my glass of water filled with ice, running back to an American-sized fridge” . .

Yes, yes . . . there’s plenty of Diet Coke in the refrigerator. Cobb spies it chilling there. Wait . . . oh wait . . . Kate Moss “struggles to open the door.” LOL. How old is this guy? I expect him to jump up and save Kate from the big, bad fridge any minute. She is a real-deal damsel in distress.

Moss famously said that “Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels”, a perceived reality celebrated by another Diet Coke kingmaker Karl Lagerfeld. Marc Jacobs and Jean Paul Gaultier have also been Diet Coke ‘creative directors’.

Yes, there was some blowback this week, given Kate’s infamous association as the face of “heroin chic” in the 1990s. Moss replaced the original supers, most of whom were sizes 4-6 US like Cindy Crawford, who said she never would have become a supermodel, once size 0 stepped in to take her place.

Kate’s Rumored Big Pay Day

As Samantha Selinger-Morris wrote for Australia’s SMH “Her [Moss] reported $9 million payday will likely help cushion the blow from any further criticisms she may face.”

And since AOC is having a blast reading this interiew, let me suggest to Ben Cobb, that for a “reported $9 million payday”, a supermodel does many interviews that might not otherwise land on her very busy schedule.

Now about health research and diet drinks . . . more later. We haven’t written much about this topic since the Marc Jacobs stint as Diet Doke Creative Director in 2013. But a quick Google search suggests that not much as changed. ~ Anne
