PUMA and Balmain are launching their first-ever product collaboration as a fusion of creative talent. Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing joins forces with his friend and muse, supertalent Cara Delevingne — who has worked with PUMA since 2016, — and studio teams at Balmain and PUMA.

The 35-piece boxing-inspired collection is comprised of two limited-edition capsules that meld boxing with elements of Parisian couture. Gold is a prominent accent in the classic colors black, red, blue and gear that includes expected elements like sneakers and boxing shorts but also an inspired superwoman dress and reversible bomber jacket. The exciting product launch is November 21, 2019 on Puma.com, Balmain.com, and select retailers worldwide.

Kylie Jenner Teams Up With Olivier Rousteing For Balmain SS20 Paris Runway Show Makeup Collab

Kylie Jenner and Oliver Rousteing Launch KYLIE X BALMAIN @kyliecosmetics collection

Kylie Jenner dropped news that she was named artistic director of makeup for Friday’s Paris Fashion Week Balmain spring-summer 2020 fashion show. The world’s youngest self-made billionaire has also created a capsule collection that includes a nine-pan eye shadow palette, matte lip kit and high gloss. Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing is a family friend and equally excited about the new partnership. The collab is Karlie’s first forray into a luxury fashion show.

The campaign photo features Jenner and Rousteing (above) posing in matching white ensembles in front of a lavender, holographic background. It’s sleek, modern but ultra glam with a caption that reads: “Paris is always a good idea 🇫🇷 surprise… KYLIE X BALMAIN @kyliecosmetics collection launching this Friday 9.27 on KylieCosmetics.com.”

Jenner previously wore Balmain to the 2016 Met Gala and the 2019 Grammy Awards. The young business tycoon was enchanted with the light pink shade of her dress for the Grammys, which ultimately inspired the packaging of the Kylie x Balmain makeup collection, which features Parisian street art. The eyeshadow names channel fashion week: Close the Show, Model Type, Attitude, Main Event, City of Love, Night Out, Top Model, Catwalk and PFW. The line will include new Parisian-inspired shades of fan-favorite products like High Gloss ($16) and the Matte Lip Kit ($29), as well as a brand-new, limited-edition KyShadow x Balmain Eye Shadow Palette ($42). You can also purchase the products in bundles for $38 and $75.

The collaboration is Balmain's second venture into beauty, following a lipstick line with L’Oréal Paris in 2017.

Cara Delevingne Lends Strong Gaze + Nude Body To Balmain Spring 2019 Campaign

Cara Delevingne Lends Strong Gaze + Nude Body To Balmain Spring 2019 Campaign

Top talent and activist Cara Delevingne channels a 1993 Janet Jackson image for Rolling Stone image in French luxury house Balmain’s new Spring 2019 campaign, lensed by Berlin-based photographer Dan Beleiu. ‘Iconic,’ Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousteing said about Jackson's vintage image, which he shared on Instagram a day before his own 2019 spring campaign release.

Delevingne poses nude in images deliberately chosen by Rousteing to promote racial reconciliation. “The campaign shows the reunion of two skin tones, one black — or mixed race — and one white." Preaching the authenticity message, Rousteing saied:

“We’re going back to basics: I wanted something pure and transparent”.

Rousteing said Delevingne's look — including her signature thick eyebrows — was even more captivating stripped down and she didn't need to sport any of his clothing.

Coachella Beyonce x Balmain Collection Launches July 2018 To Benefit United Negro College Fund

Balmain announced Tuesday its Beyonce x Balmain collection inspired by the 22-time Grammy Award winning artist's April 2018 Coachella wardrobe.

The new collection will launch at Balmain's Paris flagship store from 7pm to 9pm July 13, featuring monogrammed 'BK' hoodies and shirts in black, yellow and pink to match Queen Bey's costumes. The merchandise will roll into other Balmain boutiques as well as Harrods, Barneys New York, Net-a-Porter and more retailers the following day July 14.

Beyonce released Coachella merchandise including windbreakers, crewnecks, tees and shorts with Greek letters in April to promote her HBCU (historically black colleges and universities) message. Now Balmain will bring her costume designs to life with a prominent Balmain logo with Greek Deltas replacing the As.

Olivier Rousteing's Balmain Army Marches Into Pre-Fall 2018 With Great Words For New Owners

Balmain's Creative Director Olivier Rousteing introduced the luxury brand's Pre-Fall 2018 Collection. Digital artist and retoucher Pascal Dangin eyes the go-forward, strong-woman members of Rousteing's Balmain Army: Katrin Zakharova, Yvonne, Valery Kaufman, Aleyna FitzGerald and Katrin Thormann. /Makeup by Phophie Mathias; hair by Yoann Fernandez

“It’s hard for a designer after seven years to feel like there can be a new chapter,” admitted Rousteing, ever youthful (and talking about his new owners Mayhoola for Investments, and new CEO, Massimo Piombini) . “They’re making me feel that there’s a new story to tell.” But all this internal reinforcement wasn’t the only story behind such a dazzlingly Parisian collection. With his take on the French tricolor—that is, blue, silver, and red—the designer was seizing on the positive energy so palpable in the French capital right now. He electrified the motif as zigzag and chevron patterns so that the results registered equal parts patriotic and Ziggy Stardust. Dialed up, this David Bowie via Pierre Balmain vibe played out as fresh velvet versions of his maximalist rock star jackets, which he paired with embellished concert tees, and strass-studded velvet leggings, masculine trousers, or patent jeans. Dialed down, it was present in comparatively wearable Prince of Wales suiting and herringbone cotton tweeds. The heritage aspect was most apparent in the liberal use of a medallion referring to the maison crest created roughly a half-century ago. Consider the emblem an updated way for his Balmain army to signal their continued allegiance. via Vogue

Brianna Capozzi Bring Balmain's Dazzling Outback Glamour To AnOther Magazine's A/W 2017 Issue

Brianna Capozzi Bring Balmain's Dazzling Outback Glamour To AnOther Magazine's A/W 2017 Issue

AnOther Magazine shares a dazzling editorial from the Autumn/Winter 2017 issue, writing:

Embellishment reigned over Olivier Rousteing’s hyper-extravagant Balmain Autumn/Winter 2017 collection, during a show which saw him send sequin- and jewel-encrusted creations down a reflective catwalk (all the better to see yourself in). So too however did a touch of animal kingdom grunge, in rich, pervasive suede, snakeskin and shearling. What happens when such a dichotomy travels out to the sticks to wrestle with livestock and clamber through haystacks?

“The shoot was based around the idea of glamping,” photographer Brianna Capozziexplains, “but we wanted to break it down in a more abstract way.” Subverting the associations of luxurious yurts and bubble baths usually associated with ‘glamorous camping’, here it's the women themselves who epitomise glamour: “It's about the clash of muddy Mother Nature with the decadent clothing and accessories of Balmain.”

EYE: Balmain & L'Oreal Paris UNITED WE ARE INVINCIBLE Campaign Brings Fashion Tribes Together

In the age of Trump, the L'Oreal Paris and Balmain collaboration is exactly what we need. Olivier Rousteing's Balmain army stands strong with 12 diverse top models fronting the campaign behind the core message: UNITED, WE ARE INVINCIBLE.

The capsule collection includes 12 couture matte shades by Color Riche in shades ranging from deep plums to sweet pinks. Models Doutzen Kroes, Lara Stone, Cindy Bruna, Ming Xi, Luma Grothe, Neelam Gill, Alexia Graham, Valentina Sampaio, Soo Joo Park, Grace Bol and Maria Borges appear in the advertisements, lensed by Nico Bustos.

The diverse range of models, hailing from all over the world, was an intentional choice to not just show the play of color across various skin tones, but to champion diversity — an especially topical theme in the aftermath of Charlottesville and Barcelona.

Headlines in today's news include How Germany Deals With Neo-Nazis and a truly-sad one Calais Brawls leave 20 migrants injured. The fighting of 200 migrants threatening each other with sticks and iron bars involved five mass brawls that mainly pitted Afghans against Eritreans.

The real world is knocking on fashion's door.  While we drift above it, the knocking is louder every day, making this Balmain/L'Oreal Paris campaign unusually relevant. For all politically-correct types who might critique it as superficial, I say it's great.

"No matter your origin, no matter your tribe. Come together, be seen, be heard. United, we are invincible. Because we are all worth it," Balmain's 31-year-old Olivier Rousteing says about the collaboration.

Supermodels Lara Stone and Natasha Poly headline Balmain's Fall/Winter 2017.18 , captured by Balmain's creative director Olivier Rousteing. Male models showing off the menswear are Jon Kortajarena, Marlon Teixeira, Ton Heukels and Presley Gerber. The less sizzling girl gaggle shots include Grace Boll, Aleyna Fitzgerald, Alexina Graham, and Valerie Kaufman.

I wanted to photograph this campaign to have the images directly reflect my vision of Balmain’s latest creations, as well as my love for the singular beauty of the city I call home. I hope you are as happy with the results as I am.” – Olivier Rousteing
