Gisele Bundchen Rises From Sea As Mythical 'SHE' Firebird Lensed By Luigi + Iango For Vogue Germany

Gisele Bundchen Rises From Sea As Mythical 'SHE' Firebird Lensed By Luigi + Iango For Vogue Germany

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen channels the mythical, sacred firebird, ‘SHE’, who dominated the evolution of human consciousness until the rise of monotheism and Abrahamic religion, based on one God who is male. Scholars generally consider the Phoenix to be female or a creature embodying both female + male elements. Many of the Greeks began to write of the Phoenix as male, and early Christianity adopted the Phoenix as a symbol of resurrection.

Gisele Bundchen + Tamino Front Missoni SS2019 Campaign Lensed By Harley Weir

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen is joined by Belgian-Egyptian singer Tamino in Missoni’s Spring/Summer 2019 campaign, lensed by Harley Weir.

The campaign captures nomadic spirit of the collection, with protagonist representing traveler who transcend space and time.

The Missoni Summer 2019 campaign is resplendent in the nocturnal lights of space, as the stars and planets transform into an ethereal background. Skies are as blue as a baroque theatre, with close-up and extended views of galactic, sandy and blazing destinations. Desert landscapes are animated by sand dunes and craters, painted by the reflections of stars which frame our two protagonists: top model Gisele Bündchen, historic testimonial for Missoni, and singer Tamino Amir Moharam Fouad, the latest sensation in the European alternative rock scene.

The two models reveal this season’s looks and pose as if they were dreamlike creatures emerging from the astral heavens. Dresses encrusted in ruffles and gossamer knitted mesh or iridescent ensembles in space-dyed lamé drape the body of a dancing Gisele.

Gisele Bundchen Wears Sensual Elegance By Nino Muñoz For Harper's Bazaar Australia Jan-Feb 2019

Gisele Bundchen Wears Sensual Elegance By Nino Muñoz For Harper's Bazaar Australia Jan-Feb 2019

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen is styled by Kristen Ingersoll in Dior, Stella McCartney, Tom Ford, Reformation and more. Nino Muñoz captures Gisele in ‘The New Sexy’ for Harper’s Bazaar Australia Jan-Feb 2019.

Gisele is promoting her new book and Harper’s shares the excerpt about the rise of a serious condition of anxiety towards her life at age 23:

For 23 years, I've also been an image without a voice. I have this in common with lots of women. Haven't most of us gotten the message that our voices aren't worth hearing, whether we're being ignored in a meeting, or criticised online, or reduced to a bunch of body parts? Allowing myself to be open and vulnerable — not—her, but me, Gisele—is very scary. I won't be able to detach or hide anymore. At the same time, take it from me: nothing feels stranger than to be the object of someone else's projections. To be known but also unknown no longer feels right to me. Life is not always easy, nor is it a fairytale, and we all go through challenges, no matter who we are. By speaking up, I hope I can inspire other women to do the same, especially at a time when women need to support other women more than ever. After all, changes only come about when we are willing to stand for what we believe.

{. . . }

Finally, things came to a crisis point. It was the weekend, and I was in my apartment in New York. I'd booked a massage to help me relax, aware that the muscles in my body were growing more tense every day. By now my panic attacks — that's what my doctors were calling them — had been going on for nearly six months. At the time I was living on West Eleventh Street and the West Side Highway, overlooking the river. My apartment was on the ninth floor. It was small but airy and full of light, with lots of windows and a big deck outside. But suddenly in the middle of my massage, I just couldn't be there anymore. I couldn't catch my own breath. Making some excuse, I got up, pulled my towel around myself and went outside onto the deck. It was a beautiful night. There was the water and the lights in the distance, and as much air as I needed, but I still couldn't find my breath. It felt like everything in my life was going to kill me. First it was airplanes, then elevators. Then it was tunnels and hotels and modelling studios and cars. Now it was my own apartment. Everything had become a cage, and I was the animal trapped inside, panting for air. I couldn't see a way out, and I couldn't stand another day of feeling this way. The idea swept over me then: Maybe it will be easier if I just jump. It will be all over. There's a solution. I can get out of this.

Gisele Bundchen Smolders In Vivara Jewelry Christmas 2018 Campaign By Luigi + Iango

Gisele Bundchen Smolders In Vivara Jewelry Christmas 2018 Campaign By Luigi + Iango

Global earth goddess, supermodel Gisele Bundchen reminds us that sensuality is also part of the Christmas season, styled by Patti Wilson in red draped fabric to keep engaged eyes on other dazzles. Gisele is lensed by Luigi + Iango, with Wilson decorating her body with Brazilian jewelry brand Vivara for their Christmas 2018 campaign.

When writing about Bundchen’s new book ‘My Path to a Meaningful Life’, we focused on her commitment to the environment and being a global ambassador for saving the planet. The truth is that Gisele also writes about why she left Victoria’s Secret, where she reigned as supreme queen for many years.

Gisele Bundchen Talks Being A Beekeeping Eco-Warrior Lensed By Zee Nunes For Vogue Brazil October 2018

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen gets up close and personal in the October 2018 issue of Vogue Brazil. In two of her four covers, the Brazilian goddess poses with her mother Vânia and — eureka! — in a beekeeper’s uniform. Pedro Sales styles the Brazilian earth goddess in images by Zee Nunes.

Gisele is a long-time eco-activist, serving as a goodwill ambassador to the UN’s Environment Programme. In her July 2018 Vogue US cover story, the model reveals that gardening and beekeeping are core ways that Gisele focuses on teaching her children — Ben, age eight, and Vivian, age five—to cultivate a close relationship with nature.

While living a very rich life, Gisele only keeps things she truly treasures, like a Balenciaga jacket she’s had since she was 17. Committed to living minimally, Gisele sends to her clothes to her sisters, in order to keep living as minimalist as possible. “People think they need more stuff, but no. Start with the simple principle of waking up in the morning and asking, ‘What makes my life possible?’ It’s such a simple question. The air I breathe, the soil I step on, the food I eat, the water I drink, the sun that makes me happy,” Gisele explains. “If we understand that our survival depends on the Earth and really appreciate all those gifts, maybe we can show a bit more care. Fashion is a trillion-dollar industry. We have the means. We just have to want to do it.”

Gisele Bündchen Stars As Mina, Captured By Luigi & Iango For Vogue Italia October 2018

Gisele Bündchen Stars As Mina, Captured By Luigi & Iango For Vogue Italia October 2018

Supermodel Gisele Bündchen channels legendary Italian singer Mina Mazzini, styled by Patti Wilson in Dior for the cover of Vogue Italia October 2018. Mina was a staple of television variety shows and a figure in Italian pop music from the 1960s to the mid-1970s. Her loud, syncopated singing earned her the nickname ‘Queen of Screamers’ and the public labeled her the ‘Tiger of Cremona’ for her gestures and body shakes. Mina was banned from TV and radio in 1963 because her pregnancy and relationship with a married actor did not accord with Italy’s dominant Catholic and bourgeois morals.

Strikingly, Gisele’s images by Luigi & Iango do not capture in any way Mina’s wildly animated nature, as described in stories about her. Not being familiar with Mina, I read commentary by self-proclaimed fashion experts and somehow got the impression that Mina was a transvestite. LOL. Oh well. The times we live in. Enjoy Gisele.

Rob Haskell interviews Gisele in an informative, rich interview even for people who know her well. Alas, the Internet PC police went into high gear, forcing the supermodel to apologize for a comment she made about the pressures faced by young models that force them to self-promote on Instagram.

Gisele took to Twitter on Thursday, saying she was "sorry" for comments made in her interview.

"I'm sorry that my words in my most recent Vogue article were misunderstood. My intention was simply to express that I come from an older generation and am not technologically savvy."

Jason Gay conducts the interview for 'Gisele Bündchen Is a Force of Nature'. The earth goddess who greets each day before anyone else with a mixture of yoga and meditation wants to set the record straight:

Look: I know I’m being silly. I know eating a few doughnut holes isn’t exactly walking on the moon. But I am relaying this tidbit because it runs counter to the cartoonish, hypercontrolled image that’s out there about Bündchen and Brady. You know what I’m talking about. That Gisele’s a little too perfect. That Tom’s a little too perfect. That neither one of them has had a carb since the turn of the century. That they’re not like, you know, the rest of us.

Donna Versace Gaggles Gisele, Naomi, Christy, Linda, Kaia + For Steven Meisel Versace 2018 Ad Campaign

Donatella Versace continues to honor the legacy of her brother Gianni Versace with a spring-summer 2018 ad campaign filled with supers and a young one -- Kaia Gerber -- in the making. Lensed by Steven Meisel, the campaign brings together Gisele Bundchen, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington and Linda Evangelista.

Meisel first used a term 'The Trinity' to declare that supermodels Campbell, Evangelista and Turlington were more glamorous than movie stars. The full campaign spanning multiple generations of supers and their sisters will debut on December 18, 2017, adding Raquel Zimmerman, Natalia Vodianova, Gigi Hadid, Irina Shaik, Vittoria Ceretti, Cara Taylor, Birgit Kos, Noah Luis Brown and Grace Elizabeth.

Gisele Bündchen & Friends Cozy Up With Fake Fur By Inez & Vinoodh For Vogue Paris August 2017

Gisele Bündchen & Friends Cozy Up With Fake Fur By Inez & Vinoodh For Vogue Paris August 2017

My first thought was that the August 2017 issue of Vogue Paris is devoted to women and their pets. Apparently the issue tries to reach a higher bar, promoting cover star Gisele Bündchen in 'Chic animals and faux fur'. This editorial tag line is focused on the fashion connection, imo. Gisele is an ardent environmentalist, but other models like Doutzen Kroes are far better known as spokespeople for wildlife conservation.

Inez & Vinoodh capture Gisele and friends in a series of truly uninspiring images in which animals are blurry extensions of the fake-fur laden women who own them. What might be a fine idea in terms of intention probably falls flat in execution, confined by the clearly-defined limits of Vogue Paris editor-in-chief Emmanuelle Alt's own imagination.
