Emma Corrin Covers S Moda El Pais August 2024, Talks Cassandra in 'Deadpool & Wolverine'

Actor Emma Corrin covers the August 2024 issue of S Moda El Pais, lensed by Pablo Sáez [IG] in ‘Tiempo De Antihéroes’.

“Boys are idiots…” Corrin’s villianous character says in the film. Like the non-binary Corrin, Cassandra Nova’s shaved head and superpowers dramatize the actor’s own desire “to explore, change, and not be pigeonholed.”

Director Shawn Levy seeks to render Cassandra as an anti-villain, a charming and nice human who suddenly ups and kills someone. The character is only evil some of the time — a frequent signature in Marvel’s films.

I know we are all very rattled over the anti-trans legislation in red states, but then Roe got shot down, too. AOC’s activism is very focused on Christian fascism and white nationalism in this moment. The end of our imperfect democracy is in sight — if we don’t fight this back by the 2024 election.

People I respect say “It’s do or die time,” and they are not exaggerating.

AOC is not worried about “he, she, it, they, them . . . “ in this moment. We are focused on the American Taliban increasingly riding roughshod over all of us. No disrespect intended to pronouns.
