Why Hillary Clinton Is Hitting Bernie Sanders From the Left On Bank Regulation VOX
You can count on VOX to dig deeper into issues than most online media and way more than cable news. Moving beyond soundbites and insults and into the foray of facts, VOX concludes that the big differences between the campaigns is that Clinton is a wonk and the Sanders team is more soundbite driven
"Clinton sees regulating Wall Street as important and necessary but also (fittingly for a former senator from New York) sees the fact that New York City is a global financial center as a source of US economic strength. She wants the United States to be home to globally competitive financial services companies just as it is home to globally competitive airplane manufacturing, technology, pharmaceutical, and entertainment companies. Sanders, by contrast, doesn't really see what Wall Street does as in any way valuable or useful enough to justify big banks, and takes a "better safe than sorry" approach to the idea of smashing up its biggest players."
Can you imagine the peril Sanders wants to put not only the US economy in but the global economy with his desire to wipe out Wall Street? A slowing of the Chinese economy is nothing compared to Sanders' view of how to fix problems.
Planned Parenthood, In Its First Primary Endorsement, Backs Hillary Clinton New York Times
It took 100 years, but Planned Parenthood has made its first presidential primary endorsement in its 100-year history. Hillary will officially accept the endorsement in Manchester, NH on Sunday.
“Everything Planned Parenthood has believed in and fought for over the past 100 years is on the ballot,” said Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood.
If we're not mistaken, every presidential candidate including Donald Trump accepts a personhood amendment, which equates all rights of a grown woman with three kids and a happy husband with a fertilized embryo.
