French luxury powerhouse Chanel shares its Cruise 2023 campaign starring rising French model Loli Bahia and top model Vittoria Ceretti. Bahia first walked the fall 2020 Louis Vuitton show when she was still in high school.
The campaign, shot by Mikael Jansson [IG] pays tribute to Monaco and Karl Lagerdeld’s ties to the principality. Designer Virginie Viard highlights Monte Carlo’s cosmopolitan elegance, and glamour in her designs.
Coming on May 5 through July 16, 2023 ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty’ will be on view — and the focus of — The Metropolitan Museum’s of Art’s Spring 2023 The Costume Institute Benefit [also known as The Met Gala®].

In the campaign marketing text, Graff made a word salad describing Night Moon, Graff Gateway and New Dawn groups in the collection in this way:
“From a poetic spark of inspiration to a magnificent collection of jewels that speak to the soul about the eternal beauty of nature, the Tribal collection captures the essence of what it is to be human.”
These words perhaps better describe modern life in South Africa’s Atlantis Dunes, where extreme adventure sports including sandboarding define the landscape. Had Graff wanted to speak to the Tribal collection’s capturing the essence of what it is to be human”, the campaign would have been shot 15 hours away by car in at the Sterkfontein Caves, at a UNESCO World Heritage site known as the Cradle of Humankind.

AOC has featured Quinn Mora multiple times, but Mexican native Tindi Mar is new. Her agency explains that Mar made her international debut walking exclusively for Nicolas Ghesquiere’s AW2021 Louis Vuitton collection. Emmanuelle Alt also noticed Mar, offering her an exclusive cover with the Vogue Paris September issue.
Tindi Mar’s deep beauty captivates but not as much as her double university major in sustainable agricultural sciences and nutrition. Tindi leads by example, living in a self-sustaining ecological community in Guadalajara. All the food in Tindi’s community is home grown, and the entire community is powered by solar energy. For a young woman, Mar is very clear about her priorities: the environment, sustainability, combatting climate change, animal rights and promoting food security for indigenous communities.
AOC would love the idea that Quinn and Tindi wore sustainable clothes in the Vogue Paris fashion story — honoring the deep commitment to sustainable principles shared by so many of our young people.
